What happened

Okabe sends no D-Mail and performs no time leap; the change comes from another party interfering with the past. Public chapter sources consistently identify a Russian past-alteration experiment based on Kurisu’s theory, but no publicly checkable primary citation yet supplies the complete wording or procedure.

Cause

Russia conducts a time-machine experiment intended to alter the past, rewriting the history in which the Soviet Union dissolved.

Action / decision

Okabe feels a violent disturbance during the party, experiences Reading Steiner, and awakens in war-torn Japan.

Consequence

The world line becomes 1.382733% β, and Okabe is escorted by the SDF without memories of his life on the reconstructed line.

Version differences

Anime episode 4 only echoes this setting through rearranged war imagery and an awakening scene; it does not reproduce the game’s month-long Soviet-world-line sequence. This event no longer substitutes Alpha-world-line material.

Inference notes

The date, adjacent scenes, and both displayed divergences are cross-checked through public chapter sources. The experiment’s precise method and message content still require a guidebook page or game-text citation.
